Aiden's hair cut

Aiden got his hair cut today. Though mummy is a little unsure about it, My uncle Adam used his hair clippers to cut Aiden's hair. Aiden didn't like it to much he cried the whole time, my mummy and nanny had to hold him so he wouldn't move.

I think his hair cut makes him look really cute, It was too long before he couldn't even see his hair was that long it was in his eyes.

I know he didn't like it this time but with plenty more hair cuts Aiden will eventually get use to it. It made mummy sad though to see Aiden so upset though once she gave him a bath to get all the hair off him, Aiden gave mummy a big kiss and said "Love you mummy", mummy smiled and told Aiden she loved him too than they both cuddled.

This made mummy and Aiden very happy.

Our best friends Buddy and Buster

I almost forgot the best friend that Aiden and I have. His name is Buddy he is a black and white husky, my nanny has had Buddy since I was born.

He is the best dog in the whole world, He likes when Aiden and I go to my Nana's to see him. We always go straight out the back to give him a huge cuddle and kiss and let him know how much we missed him.
Buddy specially likes when Aiden talks to him through the fence, Buddy tends to talk back to him.

I love riding my bike around my Nana's yard so Buddy can follow me, It's so much fun weaving in and out of the close line trying to get Buddy to catch up to me.

I remember one day when Buddy got out and he ran away, Aiden kept looking out the window calling out to Buddy. Aiden than looked at mummy and said "Buddy gone". My mummy than put Aiden into the car and they went searching for him. In the car Aiden was crying the whole time in the car while saying "Buddy gone", Aiden was really happy when mummy found Buddy, Buddy got to ride in the back seat of the car with Aiden. Aiden than looked at Buddy and said "you naughty", though all Aiden could do is pat and give Buddy cuddles.

My uncle Adam also has a dog who is also our friend, Buster is a pure bred staffy. He is still just a puppy so he kinder gets really excited when he sees us. Aiden doesn't really play with buster as Buster jumps on him. Adam also has a cat called Turbo who Aiden adores. Aiden just likes chasing him around the house and getting out Turbos favourite toys to play with.

Aiden and I love Buddy, Buster and Turbo so much they are our best friends.

My Daddy's Job

My daddy would have to have the coolest job in the world. My mummy took us up to Red Cliff on Sunday 21st September 2009 to see my daddy.

He works on Offshore Powerboats for a company called "Maritimo", He goes away sometimes and we miss him a lot.

My mummy tries to take us to the Queensland races so we can see him and so we can watch the race up close.

When I saw my daddy working he looked so funny, He was wearing head phones so he can talk to the guys inside the boat. This is so that if the guys need assistance or if there is a problem with the boat they are able to communicate.

The boats are so big and so loud, I like standing close so I can wave to my daddy at anytime. My mummy doesn't like me standing to close to the edge on the jetty in case I fall in. Though I like standing in a spot that I know my daddy can see me.

I would stand on the jetty smile and wave to him, I know he is working but I get so excited seeing my daddy working on this amazing vessel.

My mum found this really steep hill for us to sit on under a huge tree out of the sun. Aiden and I rolled down the hill and than raced all the way back up to the top. We did this so many times I was really tired before the race started. What was really funny is that I won every time cause Aiden had to keep stopping to pull his pants up.

The weather was so nice and warm that mum let Aiden and I dip our toes into the beach. We had a lovely picnic while watching the boat race.

Once the race had finished we than went for a scenic drive around the beach. The boats were so loud we could hear them about five streets away.

We had the best day, my poppy came with us for a day out.

Mummy Found Her Family After So Many Years

Early last year my mummy found her family who she hadn't seen in such a long time. I realised that my mummy had uncles, aunties and cousins who I had never met before.

This was really exciting for Aiden and I, as we were gonna met our extended family for the first time. It's not like my mummy wanted to loose contact with her family it was just that my nanny and poppy who are my mummy's parents moved from Newcastle when my mummy was just a little girl.

My mummy got in contact with her family after reading a notice in the Newcastle herald about an elderly guy dieing. My mummy than thought it was one of her relatives so she got onto the Internet and began to search for her family, so she could confirm what she had read. It turned out that it wasn't her uncle like she had thought. Her uncle than contacted his brother's to notify them that he had heard from his niece for the first time after about fifteen years.

My mummy and her family have been in contact since and try and talk as often as they can. My mummy has since returned to Newcastle three times for holidays to catch up on the years in which she missed.

She is so happy that after all these years her family have accepted her into the family as if she had never been gone.

Recently my mummy was on facebook searching for some school friends in which she had lost contact with after graduating from Beenleigh High School in 1998.

She decided to search a cousin Patricia who my mum hasn't seen since she was about eight years of age. My mum found a lady on facebook with the same name, so my mum than messaged the lady to see if she was who my mum had been searching for. My mum than got a reply about an hour later stating that the lady that my mum had found turned out to be her cousin Patricia. My mum was so excited that she continued to message Patricia so that they could both find out what each other had been up to.

They both haven't stopped messaging since, they both have now organised to meet next year to reunite. My mum is taking us all to Melbourne so we can meet Uncles, aunties and cousins for the first time.

Our Day At Alma Park Z00

On this particular day mum and dad decided to take us to the zoo. We enjoyed feeding all the farm animals, the funniest part was when daddy went to feed the dears and the dear ran off with his food. Dad tried to catch him but the dear was too quick for him, mummy, Aiden and I did nothing but laugh it was so funny.

We also got to handle the baby chickens, I tried to tell Aiden to use gentle hands and not to squeeze them or they might get hurt. Aiden tried to reach out really wide to catch a chicken he was unable to catch them as they were to quick for him. I than gave Aiden my chicken and i caught another one to feed.

Aiden really enjoyed feeding the donkeys, In some pictures that you will notice on this blog it looked like Aiden was giving the donkeys a little smack in the mouth. Though he didn't it is just how the donkey turned his head to get the food.

I really enjoyed standing with the sheep, I love sheep they are so soft and gentle. Though one of the sheep decided to eat all my food from my hand. Aiden than let me have some of his food so I could than go and feed the big cow.

The baboons were so funny, The animal trainer was about to feed the baboons their dinner. When another baboon came down from his branch and smacked two other baboons out of the way so he could eat.

With the kangaroos Aiden tried to play a game of catch me, Daddy explained to Aiden that kangaroos don't play games. Aiden than tapped one on the bottom and said "got you" and Aiden then ran off. When Aiden noticed that the kangaroo did nothing it just slepted. Aiden went over again and tapped the kangaroo on his bottom again, the kangaroo than stood up on his two back legs and hopped towards Aiden. Aiden than ran over to mummy and said "hug", The kangaroo than hopped away and layed under a tree, Aiden said "got to bed".

I loved the part where daddy fed the cow, Daddy than said "Tyla look he is asleep while he is eating" Tyla replied, "no he isn't, the sun is in his eyes", Tyla than went up to the animal trainer who was cleaning out the chicken pen. Tyla told the animal trainer that the cow needed a hat as the sun is in his eyes.

We saw so many animal shows throughout the day but Aiden really enjoyed the reptile show. He patted a snake and baby crocodile, Aiden turned to mummy and said "Come home", mummy said "sorry Aiden we are not taking him home". Aiden wanted to pat the crocodile lots, mummy had to wait for people to have a turn at patting the animals so Aiden could have another turn.

We all had a fantastic day it was so much fun.

Introduction

Hi everyone my mum has decided to create this blog for us so we can reflect on all the happy memories we have shared as a family.

Tyla started her journey when she was born on the 03rd November 2001 and Aiden started his on the 07Th February 2006.

Since then we have done everything possible to keep the children entertained and we try and spend as much time with them as they are growing up very quickly.

Tyla enjoys singing, dancing, arts and craft and also spending time playing with friends at the beach, park and even going to movies.

Aiden on the other hand is completely different to Tyla, he enjoys lots of cuddles from family and friends, he also enjoys playing on his swing set, watching movies, drawing and riding his bike.

Tyla who is now in grade 1 is happy to attend her new school this year. Tyla is really happy to learn how to read, count to 100 and spelling which she is really good at now. Tyla has made so many friends this year who she sometimes sits on the phone to for hours on ends. Tyla reminds me of me when I was her age. Sitting in my room chatting on the phone to my friends after school.

Aiden and I go to the park during the day while Tyla is at school to catch up with his friends from the kindy he once attended. This encourages Aiden to share and communicate with others, As his vocabulary is extending very quickly which is now a good thing as before when he couldn't express himself with words he would express himself through biting. Which is a normal toddler behaviour, This is why allowing Aiden to play with other children he will learn to use his words and not his teeth.

Both children are so good together I am glad there is a little age gap between them. Aiden doesn't go anywhere without Tyla, Both children are constantly giving each other cuddles, kisses on the cheek and also there is a lot of I love you Tyla. I hope the kids being close at such a young age I hope that this never changes, They both have such a close bond which is great to see between a sister and brother.

Tyla has taught Aiden quite a few thing for example: how to climb, she has helped him to count to 10 which he can now do on his own and she has also taught him his ABC's. Aiden now sings this in the bath, in the middle of reading a book and even before he goes to bed. He is so proud that he can do this all on his own.

Though this is the end of our introduction my mum will be back really soon to extend on our special memories throughout our life so far.
